Our home sits in the small, quiet village of Montanel, Normandy, on the Brittany border. It provides you an opportunity to frequent the abbey (Mont St. Michel); a short 15 minute drive away. It is close to several villages: Antrain is a 10-minute drive west...St James, founded by William the Conqueror, is 15 minutes due east and Pontorson is halfway between home and the abbey. Each of these towns can fulfill all your needs ... boulangerie ... patisserie ... boucherie ... groceries ... gas ... banks and great restaurants! Montanel is a very quiet area sitting in the fields of Normandy, and Arc en Ciel opens into the fields for long walks, hiking, cycling, rest and rejuvenation.

On the ground floor is the kitchen with open hearth. Beyond that, the scullery or utility area, with washer/dryer, frig/freezer, double stainless sink, and French doors that lead out to the west garden terrace. As well, a large master bathroom with vintage clawfoot, heated towel rack, toilet & bidet. You will find a very cozy equipped kitchen with cupboards full of dishes and necessities, a gas cooker, oven, toaster, frig, and morning breakfast nook...
