Our home sits in the small, quiet village of Montanel, Normandy in the North of France. It provides you an opportunity to frequent the abbey (Mont St. Michel); a short 20 minute drive away. It is close to several villages: Antrain is a 10-minute drive west...St James, founded by William the Conqueror, is 15 minutes due east and Pontorson is halfway between home and the abbey. Each of these towns can fulfill all your needs ... boulangerie ... patisserie ... boucherie ... groceries ... gas ... banks and great restaurants! Montanel is a very quiet area sitting in the fields of Normandy, and Arc en Ciel opens into the fields for long walks, hiking, cycling, rest and rejuvenation.

On the ground floor, is the kitchen with fireplace and wood stove, master bath, utility area with washing/ironing facilities, the living/dining room with fireplace and wood stove, and french doors leading out to a patio and garden. You will find a very cozy equipped kitchen with cupboards full of dishes and necessities, a gas cooker, oven, toaster, frig, and morning breakfast nook...

  • This house has a staircase at either end, each one going into an upstairs bedroom
  • There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor, each with double beds and armoirs
  • There is also an upstairs half bath

Rates
The weekly rate stays the same year-round:

  • $375 USD for one, $500 USD for two
  • $595 USD for three, and $695 USD for four

The house comfortably accommodates two couples.

Please Note:

  • You may arrive anytime after 2 pm, and depart by 12 noon.
  • A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time you book, with the balance due 6 weeks before your arrival date.
  • This is a non-smoking environment, and no, pets are not allowed. Sheets & towels, linens, duvets, electric heat and wood for fires are all included in your rent. Long week-end lets are available as well; contact us directly in this regard.
  • A security deposit of $200 USD is required at the time of your deposit. This will be returned to you within 10 days of departure.

  • Whatever currency you use, please find its equivalency in US Dollars (you may check on-line to find the day-of-booking currency-to-dollar conversion rate at xe.com).
  • You may direct deposit the amount, send as a cashier's check in USD, or you may use Visa, MC, Discover or Paypal.
